Hands-on science lab experiences for middle school students

Discover Science is a five-week after-school program designed to provide middle school students with hands-on research experience in a real science lab. Our lab experiences will give students a chance to run experiments and answer scientific questions, guided by Columbia University scientists and high school mentors from the BRAINYAC program.

Middle school students participating in Discover Science will:

Be taught by real neuroscientists;

Find out what it is like to be part of a science lab;

Learn to design experiments to ask scientific questions; and

Become part of the Zuckerman Institute community.

Discover Science is run in partnership with the Double Discovery Center at Columbia College. Registration is only currently available through direct school partnerships. For more information, contact [email protected].

Discover Science receives generous support from BNY Mellon.
