The Hippobellum: In Health & Epilepsy
The cerebellum and the hippocampus are not monosynpatically connected and have very distinct traditional roles. However, these structures are functionally connected, with relevance to healthy physiology, including processing of objects in space, and pathophysiology, including temporal lobe epilepsy. This talk will discuss some of the recent work from the Krook-Magnuson lab examining these hippobellum interactions, including possible circuit underpinnings.
