Held every year in March, Brain Awareness Week is an international campaign to boost public awareness about brain research and celebrate the wonders of the mind and brain. There’s no better place to get up close and personal with the three-pound marvel in your head than at Columbia University. Working with science and education partners throughout New York, Columbia hosts a variety of Brain Awareness Week events for curious folks of all ages.

March 12, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM - After School Science Hour. Our partner BioBus will kick off Brain Awareness Week with a mind-bending look at the ins and outs of neuroscience.
March 16, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM - Brain Awareness Week on 125th Street. Join BioBus in Adam Clayton Powell Plaza on 125th Street where you will be able to step into our mobile science lab to see the inner workings of the brain!
March 16, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM - Art, Therapy, and the Brain: Free Yoga. Join BioBus for FREE yoga (mat included!) as part of our Brain Awareness Week program about art, therapy, and the brain.
March 23, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM - Seeing Past the Senses. Learners of all ages, join us on March 23 for our next Saturday Science! Our cool microscopes will reveal startling hidden worlds as our community scientists make it all easy, fun, and mind-expanding.
March 28, 07:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Music on the Brain, with T.K. Blue & Abhishek Shah, at the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, 58 W 129th St.
