Rhythm and Reason brings together jazz music and science as we celebrate the way that music affects our brains and bodies. We will sing, dance and clap along to music from New York based Jazz Pianist Helen Sung.

Join us to listen and move with the music, and maybe learn something new!

October’s guest scientist is Prachi Patel, PhD Candidate in the Electrical Engineering department at Columbia University. Prachi is an expert in the neuroscience of acoustic processing in the brain.

Rhythm and Reason is a collaboration between Arts & Minds, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem and Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute.
