Music on the Brain brings together jazz music and science in an exploration of how music affects our brains and bodies. Join us for a performance from inaugural Jazz Artist-in-Residence and Steinway Artist, pianist Helen Sung. The performance will be accompanied by a conversation between Sung and featured scientist Baihan Lin, an expert in artificial intelligence, and how it can help us understand how vision works in humans and machines. Free on Facebook Live and Youtube.

Baihan Lin is a Ph.D candidate pursuing Computational Neuroscience in the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience and Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute at Columbia University. Baihan creates neuroscience-inspired artificial intelligence systems and applies this research to understand how the visual system functions in humans and machines.
