Code of Conduct

The Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute is committed to providing a supportive and welcoming environment to everyone who works, studies and interacts with the Zuckerman community.

The Zuckerman Institute abides by Columbia University’s commitment to principles of equity and excellence which can be read in its entirety here. The Institute promotes a safe environment, free from any type of discrimination or harassment, with the following expectations:

1. Be respectful to every person regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof) or manner of articulation.

2. Maintain a harassment-free environment. Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. The University strongly encourages those who have experienced, witnessed or become aware of conduct that violates this policy to come forward so that the University can take appropriate steps to prevent such conduct from occurring in the future and to ameliorate its effects.
