The Zuckerman Institute is seeking an Associate Research Scientist to lead and contribute to multiple ongoing neuroscience research projects. The successful candidate must possess demonstrated expertise in systems neuroscience, neurophysiology, and experimental neuroscience research methodologies. Experience conducting in vivo electrophysiological recordings and/or calcium imaging in awake, behaving mice is required. The candidate should have experience designing and executing behavioral neuroscience experiments, collecting and analyzing neural activity data, and interpreting the relationship between hippocampal neuronal activity and behavior. Strong analytical, quantitative, and computational skills for processing and interpreting complex neuroscience datasets are essential. Experience working with rodent models, surgical techniques, data acquisition systems, and statistical analysis of neural recordings is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary research environment and contribute to scientific publications, grant applications, and the effective communication of research findings.
