Art in the Education Lab at the A. Philip Randolph Older Adult Center: Tabula Rasa by Ezra Wube

Every year Columbia University’s Zuckerman Institute commissions an artist to create an original artwork that will inspire community members to explore science through an artistic lens.

This year’s artist, Ezra Wube, has created a stop-motion animation titled Tabula Rasa, which explores experiences of consciousness and memory. It was designed as a collaborative art project, meaning that the artist integrated into the piece ideas, words, and drawings from members of the community, including many members of the A. Philip Randolph Older Adult Center.

Join us for a presentation of Tabula Rasa and a conversation with the artist, led by Dianne-Lee Ferguson of the Marlin Lab. And then enjoy a unique 3D experience of the piece through the magic of virtual reality.
