An intimate evening of live jazz and neuroscientific discovery.

How does a brain scanner reveal the way our minds process music differently from noise—and how does a jazz musician translate a silent thought into sound?

Join us for an evening bridging neurotechnology and live music. Featuring MRI pioneer Dr. Tommy Vaughan and acclaimed tenor saxophonist Patience Higgins, hosted by the fabulous Amanda Humes. Together, they will explore how an MRI scanner functions as a window into the living brain, drawing a parallel between how scientists decode magnetic brain signals and how a jazz composer transforms an idea into music.
