The Zuckerman Institute is seeking an Associate Research Scientist to lead and contribute to innovative research investigating the neural mechanisms underlying visual perception and visual information processing. The successful candidate must possess demonstrated expertise in computational neuroscience, cognitive neuroscience, visual perception, and experimental neuroscience research methodologies. Experience investigating the neural mechanisms underlying visual feature conjunctions and visual information processing is required. The candidate should have experience developing and implementing deep neural network models of visual processing, designing and conducting psychophysical and functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) experiments, and analyzing complex behavioral and neuroimaging datasets. Strong quantitative, computational, and statistical analysis skills, including programming and data modeling, are essential. Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary research teams, contributing to methodological innovations, preparing scientific publications, and assisting with grant proposal development is highly desirable.
