Art in the Education Lab: The Shape of Memory by Maya Ciarrocchi

Join us for drinks and refreshments as we meet and converse with the interdisciplinary artist Maya Ciarrocchi, selected to create our 2026 Art in the Education Lab commission. We will be unveiling her original art piece, The Shape of Memory, a woven Jacquard tapestry, inspired by conversations with researchers at the Zuckerman Institute.

Dr. Sandra Romero Pinto, whose research exploring memory in wild food-caching birds kindled the design of the tapestry, will join in a conversation with Maya, moderated by a previous winner of the Art in the Education Lab, Manon Casimir-Sainton, aka Sleepyfoot?.
