Columbia University’s Mortimer B. Zuckerman Mind Brain Behavior Institute supports interdisciplinary neuroscience research and discovery by scientists and scholars across the university and promises to be the most comprehensive institute for brain science.
Located in a state-of-the-art facility, world class researchers are brought together to transform our understanding of the brain and mind. We are conducting pioneering research into how the brain develops, performs, endures and recovers. From effective treatments for disorders like Alzheimer’s and autism to advances in fields as fundamental as computer science, the arts, economics, law and social policy, the potential impact for humanity is staggering.
The laboratories of Dr. Thomas Jessell and Dr. Richard Axel seek to hire a Staff Associate to lead the mouse transgenic group. Reporting to Dr. Axel and Dr. Jessell, the Staff Associate will work at the interface of cutting edge technology and high-impact research, driving innovative solutions for neuroscience. Having access to a variety of advanced facilities and technical resources, the Staff Associate will contribute to an intensely collaborative environment and enjoy the challenges of participating deeply in diverse scientific projects.
We seek a highly motivated individual who is enthusiastic about a career in science.
